Drool machine

Well I am fully over my sinus infection. I was starting to feel much better a couple days ago but I still felt sluggishly and not very active. But I am ready to go now. To add to the sickness, I also had another tooth come in. It's been so long that I forgot how it felt. I haven't had one come in for several months. So now I only have 3 more to go. And then I guess it will be time for my 2-year molars. It's a never ending process. This one didn't to seem to bother me to much except all of the wet collars and sheets after I got done laying on them. I think the other ones are coming in right behind one another, because I am still drooling an awful lot.

Pass it on

Well I'm feeling much better. Even good enough to stick my tongue out for a picture. But the bad news is that I passed it on, mom and dad both are feeling bad now. Life is much better!! And back to the babysitters in the morning.

BLAH :(

Blah is right. That is how I have been feeling the past 2 days. I have been trying to get over this cold for awhile now. And I feel like I hit rock bottom last night and today. Right before bedtime last night, I got a 101 degree fever. Which of course doesn't make you feel good. Mom gave me some medicine which broke my fever. But I still didn't sleep the best because I kept waking up coughing in the middle of the night. I woke up all cruddy feeling but I didn't have a fever so I headed off to the babysitters. Well about 1:00 today, I had to call mom at work to come pick me up because my fever came back. She decided to take me to the doctor and found out I just had a sinus infection. Nothing to major. But hopefully this antibiotic he gave me will make me feel better.

Beautiful day

This is me today not taking a nap. I didn't feel very tired, so my theory on that is not to take a nap. I went to the Ms Briana's this morning but mom picked me up around 1:30. I was too busy at Ms Briana's to even think about a nap, we even got to go outside. So after mom picked me up, we got home and ate a little snack and she thought I needed a nap. But she thought wrong. As you can see from my face I told her. But she had something up her sleeve. Since I wasn't going to sleep, we decided to go outside and go for a walk. It was so warm outside I got to put on my jacket instead of my coat. It was gorgeous. And to my surprise, half through the walk, I was zonked out. But as soon as we got home and mom took me out of the stroller, I was back up again. But I was sure ready to go to bed tonight.

Yell and shout

I have learned how to shout and yell. I have done it before but not as much and often. But now if someone is not paying attention to me, I will get their attention by yelling and shouting at them. Usually just one loud shout does it. Or when I am hungry and mom isn't fast enough getting the food ready.
I think another tooth is coming in, one on the bottom. I am drooling a lot and haven't been sleeping the best at night. I usually wake up once around three. Mom gives me a bottle and that usually makes me go back to sleep. Most of the time. Hopefully my tooth breaks through soon and my other three so I can get some better sleep. Time will tell.

Everybody loves Raymond

What comes on at 6:30 everynight on CBS? My new favorite show...Everybody loves Raymond. I really am not too interested in the show until the very last part. There is a little jingle at the end of every show. It sounds like a piano and as soon as I hear it, I immediately stop what I am doing. I listen very closely and wait until the last note. As soon as the last note is played I kick my legs up and laugh. I think it is the funniest thing ever.

Another checkup

I had another checkup in St Louis on Friday. Everything went well. They took another picture of my brain and shunt to make sure everything was working. The shunt is working well and is stabalized and they even saw that my brain has expanded just a little bit more. Not as much as the time before but any little bit helps.
Not much else is going on. I think I am starting to get another cold. But that's nothing new. I am really starting to get somewhere on holding my head up. I am getting much stronger. As long as someone is holding my body I will hold my head all by myself for at least a minute if not longer. I kind of look like one of those bobble heads. I am a little shaky at times but I have more control over it.

Throwing

From the picture you can see that I learned how to suck my thumb. But as everything else I have learned, I like to do them once and never again it seems. This was the first and only time so far that I have sucked my thumb. Just like rolling over it's only been a one time thing. So you better keep a close eye on me because who knows I may have done it and you haven't seen it and I may not do it again. So watch out!
On the other hand, I have learned how to throw things. If you put anything in my hand, I throw it. I don't think anyone is going to be drafting me to the major leagues anytime soon. But you better keep your guard up if something is in my hand because I am a little wild sometimes. But sometimes I try to hard to throw and it doesn't go anywhere. But I am still trying and it's not just a one time thing I learned and stopped doing it.

Orchestrator

One of my favorite toys that I got for Christmas is my new Leap Frog drum. I have a drum stick that goes with it. And that is the best part of it and what I really like to do is wave the stick around and be an orchestrator. It looks like I am directing my band. And every now and then, I hit the drum with it. But mostly I wave it around.
I still haven't rolled over if any of you are counting. I keep rolling from side to side but nothing further than that. Maybe it was a freak accident when I did it the first time.
I am still having problems keeping my food down. I was on a roll and only throwing up about once a week. But lately, I have been throwing up about every other day. So I am not sure what is going on with me. The doctors really don't know why. But someone has got to know why because this isn't helping me gain weight. I go back to the doctor soon for my 18 month checkup so maybe there is something else they can do for me.

Rolled over

I made a New Year's resolution for myself. I decided I would roll over this year. I also decided I didn't want to work on it all year so I decided to do it already. I rolled over all by myself Monday night. What a way to break in the New Year. Now I guess I am going to have to make another resolution. I think I will work on holding my head up all by myself and sit up by myself. And who knows, if I feel like it maybe I will do it just as fast as rolling over.....or not! But that is what I am going to be working really hard on this year.
