News

The doctor called today and told me my tests came back just fine. Which I am not sure if that is good news or not because I am still not gaining weight like I should. But he did tell me at my appointment the other day that guys like me are more underweight than normal kids. So we will just go from there and keep eating like I am. I will eat anything that is in front of me and I am not a picky eater.

Too little

I had my 15 month checkup today. And if you haven't heard I have not been gaining much weight. So that was moms concern today going to the doctor. And well of course they weighed me and I have actually lost weight from my 12 month checkup. At 12 months I weighed 17.7 lbs and know I only weigh 17.4 lbs. I guess getting sick a several weeks ago and getting dehydrated set me back a little and I haven't caught back up yet. Because I lost almost a pound then. On the other hand I am growing the other way. I am 30 inches long. But the doctor is going to check a few things out and make sure everything is a okay. So mom and I had to go over to the hospital and get some blood work done. But it wasn't too bad I was a big boy. I am starting to get used to it. The doctor also listened to my heart and checked my ears and said my one ear looks a little clogged and said I have an ear infection. So he put my on an antibotic for 10 days. I told mom to stop bragging about me not having any ear infections and look what happened. I blame it all on her. Other than all of that everything else is okay.

My second home

Another weekend, both my parents had to work again. Which is why I am calling my grandma and grandpa's house my second home. Which is not so bad. I seem to always have fun there, especially this weekend. My Aunt Jen came down to see me this weekend. It's been awhile since I've seen her. So of course she had to spoil me. My two cousins were also there. So I got to play with them too.

I have really gotten to like my cousin Drew a lot more. He isn't so rough with me anymore. Which is really nice. He doesn't want to jump on me, now all he wants to do is lay next to me and give me kisses. So I think we will be good friends.

He also likes helping me out every now and then. When I am thirsty he brings me something to drink and helps me hold my cup for me. Now thats a nice cousin.

I also liked playing with my cousin Luke. We were pretend playing. He was the banker and post office and I rode my car around and ran my errands taking my money to the bank and running to the post office. Mom had to help me a little because apparently my driving isn't the greatest.
I guess we will have to see what happens next weekend. Who knows what I'll do, maybe I'll go combining with grandpa.

Attitude

As you can see from the picture, I am a very happy boy. I am usually in a pretty good mood. Laughing, smiling, and giggling. Especially when someone is tickling me. I must of got that from my mom. I have also become a lot more vocal and making more different sounds. I sometimes surprise myself at what comes out of my mouth. I have also discovered something new inside my mouth, and when I move it around and talk sometimes I make a different sound. Mom and dad keep telling me it is my tongue, but whatever. All I know is that it sounds pretty cool. Another sound I make is this growling noice. I sometimes make it just because and sometimes when I don't want to do something. The other day, Ms Brandy my speech therapist was here. I kept wanting to look to the right because I like looking that way and she wanted me to look the other way. But I was putting up a fight. She finally forced me by pushing my head the other and as soon as she did I growled at her. I did not want to do it and I was letting her know. She thought it was funny and was glad I was expressing my feelings. But she didn't give in and still made me look that way so I finally gave in. But I wasn't happy about it and growled at her a few more times just to let her know. Mom says I have a little attitude.
I still don't know what I am going to be for Halloween, but if I keep this growling up maybe I should be a lion again like I was last year. We'll see.

All By Myself

Look at me, I am finally doing it! I am holding my head up all by myself. I am holding it up a little longer week by week. I think my record is about 20 seconds. As you can see from the first picture, I am using every muscle in my body to keep my head up (even my eyes, which is why they are rolled up). But it don't matter because I did it.

As far as therapy is going, I am working really hard. I finally got rid of my occupational therapist and got a different one. She isn't really an occupational therapist but she focuses on OT things. She is called a developmental therapist. She is focusing on a lot of the same things that the other therapists are but more on focusing and vision.
