Caught In a Tight Spot

First of all, I want to wish everyone a

Happy and Healthy New Year!!!

I know I have mentioned before that Tyler loves playing with the window blinds and yes he still enjoys playing with them. The other day we were making dinner and we moved Tyler's chair over to the blinds to occupy him while we finished up dinner. He was having a blast but I think the blinds won this time.

Please don't find me critical...just be very careful about this. If you do any kind of research on children and mini blinds, you'll find lots of strangulation cases. This picture terrified me! I do this out of care and concern not to be rude.

Happy New Year!

I can see how that is a concern, but he is never left alone. We were 4 feet away while this was happening. He was also laughing the whole time as he was playing, so he wasn't in any danger. But I certainly agree that no child should be left alone playing with household items not intended to be children's playtoys.

It looks like he was having a ball - and it's not like we can ever leave our unique kids alone for a minute anyway so I'm sure he was safe. I bet Tyler will show that blind who's boss next time!

I am so sorry if I raised concern for some but do want to assure everyone that Tyler was NOT left unattended during this incident and Travis was literally sitting in the chair next to him. We would never put him in any danger.

:) Good to know! I can tell you all are wonderful, loving parents...just wanted to share that thought. He's a doll, a happy boy for sure!

I love the look on his face...as if he's saying, "seriously, you're going to take a picture instead of helping me out of this right away?" :)
