Slacking

First of all, let me apologize for going so long without posting. It has been crazy busy around here lately. It always seems we try to squeeze as much as possible in before the end of the year with doctor appointments. Tyler is doing well and pretty much back to his normal self since his hip surgery. We have 1 more appointment on Thursday for his 12 week post-op. If everything checks out okay, I believe she will be discharging us and we will only need to come back on an as-needed basis.

We have also been busy decorating, baking cookies, Christmas shopping and all the other fun stuff that goes with this time of year. I will try to update more often but don't hold me to it. But for now let me leave you with this picture.

Tyler says HO HO HO!!!!

Tyler models hats as perfectly as his mommy does. ;) hehe

Travis' comment cracked me up on my blog saying "death to the honey bear!" (lol) I remember your post awhile back about it.

Merry Christmas!!

I have been reading some of your blog. I don't really know how to contact anyone that knows of what my sister is going though. She is 17 and has just found out her baby has Hydrocephalus and is at 20mm, way above the normal 10mm. The doctor is pushing her to abort, but from what I have read there is still hope. The doctor told her the best case sinario is that the baby will be born brain dead and there is no hope beyond that. If you could help me reach out to some people that I could tell her about so she has hope that would be great. Thank you and I an glad that Tyler is doing good after his surgery and is moving his legs more on his own.

Coral--I am so sorry to hear about the news your sister has received. We found out Tyler had hydro when I was 20 weeks pregnant. It was devastating, lucky my doctor was very optimistic. There is still hope for your sister. We have had some complications along the way and Tyler is developmentally delayed, physically and mentally, BUT he is one of the happiest kids and is loved by so many. There are several other blogs I follow who have kids with hydrocephalus and I recommend checking them out too because they have given much hope when I have difficult moments. They are on my sidebar.
