Last day of school

Today was my last day of preschool. So if you think I would of been on my best behavior...well your wrong. I got up this morning, got dressed and ate breakfast. I thought I was feeling pretty good. Dad even wished me luck as mom and I headed out the door. He also told me to get in some trouble because there was nothing the teachers could do about it since it was the last day of school. So mom and I were on our way. Then about an hour after she dropped me off, I started feeling bad and began throwing up. I don't think this is what dad meant when he made that comment this morning. So mom came and picked me up and we have been hanging out at home. I feel fine now. I have been a little constipated, which sometimes leads to me throwing up at times. So all is well.
Even though I missed my last day of school. I get to go back for the summer. I get 1 week off and then I go for 6 more weeks. So I guess I am looking forward to that.

My favorite question

I have been having a pretty lazy Memorial Day weekend. It has pretty much been me and dad the whole time. Mom has had to work ALL weekend. We have played and watched movies and played some more.
One of my favorite things to do lately has been swinging. I have always enjoyed swinging but now I get overly excited when you ask me "Tyler, do you want to go swing?" I kick my feet and yell out in excitement. Maybe mom will get it on video tomorrow so we can show you. The other day my mom asked me if I wanted to swing and I quickly turned my head to the front door, kicked my feet and got really excited. Mom even got excited because she saw me turn my head to the door. It was like I was telling her "yeah it's outside". I could sit out there for hours and just swing away. And I always get upset when we have to go in.

It's Official!!

Well, I can finally say that I am officially off the bottle. I have been working for the past couple months drinking from a cup. I have tried sippy cups but I could never figure it out or be capable of drinking from them. I even tried a "honey bear" which my speech therapist has tried with me but never perfected that either. So we went on to a regular o' cup.

I really like drinking from them because I feel like a big boy when I do it. Although I don't actually hold the cup myself, someone has to hold and tip the cup for me. But I still think this is better than a bottle. When I first started, I sometimes wore most of what was in the cup than actually drinking it. But now I may only have a few dribbles here and there that end up on my shirt. So mom was finally able to put all my bottles in storage.

I can drink from pretty much any kind of cup but the one that works the best is from Tupperware (the bell shaped cup). It is a perfect size and flares out at the top like a bell so it fits perfect around my lips. Thanks to my babysitter for introducing me to these. They even have a lid like a sippy cup that you can add.
So my next goal with this will be to hold and drink from the cup myself. And I am sure I will be needing the lid when I begin that step or else there will be a lot of spills to clean up. The problem that I have with holding a cup is that they are too wide and I can't get my adducted (collapsed) thumbs around them. Another goal for me is bringing the cup to my mouth. The only thing right now that I bring to my mouth is toys and nothing else. Put a cookie in my hand and I will just hold it....kind of strange I know. I just have no interest in feeding myself. I guess you can call me lazy.

Mom's been tagged!!

My mom got tagged by one of our blog buddies Jill, Matthew's mom. So I am handing it over to her for now.
Hi everyone it's Diane. Jill, Matthew's mom, has tagged me which means I have to answer the following questions. So here it goes...24 things about me....

1.)What's your current obsession?
Home improvements...we are hoping to put our house up for sale in a few months.
2.) One thing you wish you could change about yourself?
To be a self-motivator to get myself to exercise
3.) What are you wearing today?
Jeans and t-shirt (always something thats comfy)
4.) Why is today special?
Nothing to special about it, just looking forward to tomorrow because I am off and it Mother's Day
5.) What would you like to learn to do?
To have a better green thumb, I seem to kill anything you plant into the ground
6.) What’s for dinner tonight?
We went out to eat at Tractor's (bar & grill) for Mother's Day and my husbands birthday which was Friday.
7.) What's the last thing you bought?
Paint
8.) What are you listening to right now?
My Playlist....by the way Kristen I had to add 'A Mother's Prayer' by Rachel Aldous to my playlist, it is such a beautiful song
9.) What’s your most challenging goal?
Raising Tyler in a world where people judge
10.) What do you think about the person who tagged you?
Jill is an awesome mother who would do anything for her son Matthew and her other 3 kids
11.) If you could have your house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere, where would it be?
Same town but somewhere with more privacy/acreage. I don't like having neighbors that are right next door
12.) What is your favorite vacation spot?
Colorado. We love to ski.
13.) What would you like to have in your hands right now?
The keys to a new house that we will be buying and also handing the keys over to the next homeowners for our current house. Our biggest concern is that we will not be able to sell this one quickly.

Humidity
15.) If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
A spa to get a long massage, pedicure and manicure
16.) What super power would you like to possess?
Jill came up with a good one so I am going to borrow hers...The power of always knowing and making the right decision
17.) What’s your favorite piece of clothing?
Anything comfortable
18.) What is your dream job?
Stay at home mom and maybe watch a few other kids
19.) If you had $150---what would you spend it on?
Hire someone to finish all of our home improvement projects; although $150 probably wouldn't cover it
20.) What do you find annoying?
Ignorance
21.) Describe your personal style.
Simple
22.) Whose closet you would want to raid?
My friend - Jenny
23.) What are you most proud of?
My family, especially Tyler. He amazes me everyday at all the little things/quirks he does. He always has us laughing at all the new sounds and facial expressions he does.
24.) What is your typical morning routine??
Get up a little before 7 and get ready to go to work, get Tyler up and ready, eat breakfast, drop Tyler off at preschool or the babysitters, go to work, pick Tyler up from the babysitters, come home, cook supper, play with Tyler, give Tyler a bath, during the last 3 things probably watch whatever reality show is on (I will admit that I am a reality junkie), get Tyler ready for bed, check my blogs, go to bed, and repeat.

I hope that you enjoyed getting to know me a little better. I encourage anyone who would like to join in on the tagging.

Last Time

So I know you are probably tired of me talking about chewing on my shirts and chewing holes in them (if you aren't you can read up on that by clicking here, here and here), so I promise you that this will be the last time. But I guess mom wants to address it and show how much damage I have done. I have ruined 4 PJ shirts and 9 regular shirts. Some shirts may have just 1 little hole in them and others look like I was attacked by a bear (especially my PJ shirts). Below is a picture of all the damage ~ some of the shirts didn't make it in the picture because they have been thrown away.
