Naps are overrated

Another week of preschool is down and I am going strong. I haven't had a nap in 2 weeks and it hasn't even phased me. Except for me going to bed a little earlier every night. I used to go to bed between 9 and 9:30 and now it's between 8 and 8:30. Mom is pretty surprised at how well I am handling it. Most of my therapies have started this week and I am working really hard.

Trip to the River

So I got to experience another first. Saturday we got to go to the river. It was a fun time and the weather was great! The guys did some fishing but ended up only catching 1 fish (which was kind of small I thought). We roasted hot dogs and marshmellows. Which I had never ate marshmellows before and they were really good and sticky. While we were there a train even went by, it was really loud.

1 week down

So I have made it through a week of school so far and I survived. I think this 5 days a week isn't going to be so bad after all. Although my full force of therapy hasn't quite started yet so we will see once that starts if I REALLY survive.

Another year of preschool

Today I started another year of preschool. This year is going to be a little more challenging. I get to go 5 days a week in the afternoon from 12pm-3:15pm. More than likely this means no more taking naps, unless I take one after school which is probably unlikely. Today, was really exciting. I got to meet my new teacher and all new classmates. I also did really good in therapy and was full of smiles. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.

The Zoo

Mom, dad and I went to the zoo today. Although it was very HOT, it was a lot of fun. Mom and dad were somewhat surprised I lasted as long as I did because the night before I was up from 2am to 5am. So they thought it would be a short trip, but I stuck it out and we saw almost everything. We missed the giraffes and the sea lions, but that's okay. We saw the bears, lions, tigers, zebras, monkeys, elephants, camels, kangaroos, penguins, hippos, butterflies, retiles and so much more. One of the nice things was going into the different houses (reptile, primates, etc) because they were air-conditioned. We also got to touch some stingrays which was pretty cool. So it was nice to cool off for a bit. But the best and probably the biggest highlight of the day was riding the carousel. It was my first time ever and it was so much fun. You go up and down and all around, it didn't get any better than that. Here are some pictures of our day.

Touching the stingrays.. eww slimy!!

That's a BIG hippo!!

Riding the carousel.

This is the best!!!

EXHAUSTED!!! We live 2 hours from the zoo and I didn't fall asleep until we were 20 minutes from home. Go figure.

HaHaHa

So here it is. Mom and I finally got a video together of all of my different laughs. Just to remind you, I have 3 different types of laughs: the real laugh, the chuckle/fake laugh, and then my crazy laugh. Click here to read about them in a previous post. Take a listen, I'm sure you will be laughing along by the end.
