Another weekend on the Farm

This post isn't going to be much about me but it has a lot to do with what has been going on at home. Mom and dad have been way in over their heads with home improvement projects. We hope to put our house up for sale this summer and buy a house with more space and privacy outside.
It seems every weekend mom and dad have been doing something, which leads me to spending time with Grandma & Grandpa on the farm. They figured I would be too much in the way and I would slow them down. Last weekend they finished up the kitchen and this weekend is the basement. We had a water pipe bust back in January, click here to read about that. So this wasn't in the plans but will help raise the value of the house, because that carpet was pretty nasty to begin with. Once we finish the basement, we just have a few things to do outside (landscaping and paint the deck) and we are done. So in the meantime, I will continue to go to Grandma & Grandpa's and get spoiled. Here are some before and after pictures of the kitchen. It is a pretty drastic change (in a good way).

Chewing

So I know I have told you before that I like to chew on my shirt. Well this phase is still going strong. Mom and dad are about fed up with me because I keep ruining my shirts. They try and give me my burpy to chew which lasts for awhile but I always resort back to the shirt. Apparently, I even do it in my sleep as you can see from the second picture. I don't know how long this phase is going to last but I know mom and dad are ready for it to go out the window.

Prayer request

One of my blog buddies (Hayden) is going through some tough times. He is in the hospital and his mommy and daddy are having to make some very difficult decisions. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers and help them to be strong.

New Cousin

So I got another cousin over the weekend. His name is Seth. Everything went well and everyone is home and healthy. Although I am not a big fan of his yet. He squirms and cries a little and I really don't like it. So we will have to see where that goes. Other than that he is pretty cute.

The Whole Family

I hope everyone had a good Easter (I am sorry to hear about my friend Cayman, who had to spend it in the hospital). But she is home now and recovering. I pray her recovery goes well and back to her normal self soon. My Easter was somewhat eventful. We went to see my new cousin for awhile and then went to my Grandma & Grandpa's. Here's a few pics from us dying eggs and me and my easter basket. I really was not into the dying of the eggs but I tolerated as best I could.
I am trying to push myself away from the table.
Okay, I guess I will give you a smile!

Record Breaking

I started preschool this year in August. I had to adjust to a whole new routine, from structured activites to new therapists and so on. I have adapted pretty well, I think. The thing that was the hardest was getting to know my teacher and my therapists. It takes me awhile to warm up to people and for me to feel comfortable around them. So I haven't been doing and meeting the same goals as with my therapists through First Steps. Before I started school, I was prop sitting for about 10-15 seconds, matching pictures, and tracking objects. Once I started school, I did not want to prop sit, I did not want to match but I did still continue to track objects. So I guess you could say I wasn't doing my best, but I had a lot going on and in a totally different environment.
Well that has finally changed. I decided it was time to work. I started to prop sit and match pictures for my therapists and teacher. It only took me almost a whole school year to adapt (haha).
The most amazing thing though was what I did today at school. I prop sat for a total of 3 minutes. Yes I said 3 minutes!!! Before, the most I ever did was right under 1 minute. So this is pretty big. Hopefully I can keep it up.

New Look

So I thought I would change the look of my blog up a bit. Since this week starts baseball season, I thought this look would be fitting. I hope you like it.

Speaking of baseball, mom and dad got free tickets to see the Cardinals tomorrow night (Wednesday). So I get to go to Grandma & Grandpa's for the night. Mom & Dad don't want to chance it with me again, because last year I hated it. It was waaaay to loud. I will have more fun at grandma & grandpa's anyways. Here's a picture of me from last year...and as you can see I was not having fun. I will just cheer from home where it is nice and quiet. Go Cards!!

The Branding Iron

So what happens after you eat turkey....you get really sleepy. Well this is what happens to me after I eat at the Branding Iron. For those of you who do not know what the Branding Iron is, it is a BBQ restaurant. There is nothing really special about this restaurant or that they have really awesome food. It is just the last several times we have eaten there, I have fallen asleep after eating about half my meal. I usually eat a loaded baked potato and after several bites, I am out like a light. Mom and dad even had to take a picture of me this last time. I don't know what it is about that place.
