Mosquito magnet

Apparently, I am a mosquito magnet. Mom, dad and I have been taking a walk everynight this week. And I feel like I have been getting eatin alive. Mosquitos are attracted to me. And man do they itch. If you think my leg looks bad in the picture I got some more the next night on my other leg and arms. Mom put some anti-itch cream on them which helps a little bit. She also tried putting some clear fingernail polish to dry them out and that seemed to help pretty quick. So the next time we go out for a walk I'll be sure to wear some bug spray because mosquito bites suck :(

New babysitter

Just chillin'
Not much has been going on lately. Same ol' same ol'. I did get to see my Aunt Jen and Uncle Jason this past weekend. It was nice to see them. I also tried to go to church again. I told mom I didn't want to go because I hate the sound of the orghan. But did she listen to me....NO!! She did try and put cotton balls in my ears to try and mute the sound but that didn't phase me a bit. So she told me I don't have to go anymore. Today, I got to meet my new babysitter. Her name is Ms. Becky. She is very nice and I think I am going to like it there. But I don't get to go there until August. Starting in July my 2 grandmas are going to take turns watching me while mom and dad are at work. I will really like that and get some extra attention.

DareDevil

Well I got another haircut. I was due for another one. But of course I threw a fit the whole time dad was cutting my hair. But I look so much better and I don't have to take the extra time to comb it anymore it's so short.
I also became a daredevil. I was at home with dad the other day. And I was laying on the couch and dad ran upstairs to get me lunch. While he was gone I inched my way to the edge of the couch. And guess what I landed right on my head. I didn't even cry, I thought it was funny. When dad came back downstairs I was on the floor just smiling. No harm done, but I don't get to lay on the couch anymore by myself.

Favorites

I got to spend the whole weekend with mom AND dad. Mom got the whole weekend off and of course dad has that cushy office job so he was home also. We did so much stuff and I figured out that I like a few new things too. We went shopping and bought a new swing for the porch and we put that together this weekend. I really enjoyed it once we got it all together. We will be spending a lot of time outside now. I also was introduced to some new foods this weekend and found a liking for them too. The first was chocolate milk. I had a bottle for a snack and I ended up drinking the whole bottle and wanting some more. The other was White Castle cheeseburgers. We were on our way home from Lowes and stopped to get something to eat. The chose was McDonalds or White Castle. Mom and dad were arguing between the two. And dad ended up winning. So White Castle it was. They got a cheeseburger for me, and I ate the whole thing. It was delicious. Mom couldn't believe I liked it especially with all the onions on it. Those are my two favorite foods nowadays. I am sure it will change next week. Who knows.

Temper Tantrum

The other day I finally decided to test mom. She was trying to feed me supper in my chair in the living room. I took 2 bites and then I noticed the tv was on and decided I wanted to watch tv instead of eating supper. Well mom didn't think that was a good idea. So she told me if I don't start eating she is going to turn the tv off. Well I didn't want to listen. So guess what? She turned the tv off. Can you believe she would do that, I didn't. So I gave her my evil eye and then started crying. But then I got really mad, mad enough I decided to hold my breath until my face turned red. Well a minute went by and mom finally gave in and turned the tv back on. I knew I would break her....and it only took a minute. After that I was happy and I started eating. Now I know what I can get away with and I got her wrapped around my little finger.

aaahh

I got to see my cousins, Ollie and Tori this past weekend. They are really silly. But so am I. We went to the park but I was so exhausted that I really didn't care to much about it. We hung out some more at my Grandma Vickie's.

I am really starting to try and make more sounds. I try so hard to get something other than "AAAHH" to come out but for some reason that is all that make for now.

Outside

We finally got our front porch finished this week. If any of you don't know what I am talking about, we have been doing some remodeling on the house. We extended our roof out in the front of the house, so now we have a brand new front porch. I like it a lot! Mom and I sat out on it today. I watched mom sweep the driveway and plant some flowers. I love being outside as long as I am in the shade. I don't like the sun too much.

My New Seat

Here is another one of my new contraptions. I got another device from my therapists. It is a seat that helps support me while I sit up. And I can sit up almost all day in it and not get worn out. It is also adjustable, I can put it to where I am sitting straight up or recline it just a little or a lot. But I like it almost all the way up. Because now I can see what's going on. I even got one to take to the babysitters. I like it a lot there because I can watch the other kids run around. It's especially nice on saturday mornings when I watch cartoons.

New Splints

I got some new splints for my hands that I am not to happy about. I have 2 different ones. One that I wear at night and sometimes when I take a nap and then another one that I normally wear during the day all the time now. The one that I wear at night (the one in the picture), stretches my hand out really good. It pulls my thumb and all of my fingers straight. I really don't like this one. It hurts a little but I am usually asleep when mom puts them on me so it doesn't bother me. The other one is a lot smaller, it is very similar to the one I had before. All it does is pull my thumb out, but I can still grab and pick up my toys. Which is very important. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't hold my favorite drum stick and my rings. Hopefully these splints will help open my hands up and be able to use them better.
I thought I only had to wear these when I am sleeping. I am awake so get theses things off me.

Happy Easter

I had a pretty good Easter. I got to go over to Grandma and Grandpa's on Saturday. Everybody was there, my Aunt Jen and Uncle Jason, Uncle Dave and Aunt Tori and my cousins Luke and Drew. I was so exhausted I didn't even hunt easter eggs, I let Luke and Drew do all the work. But I still got to take home some of the goodies.

I guess one of my favorite parts was hanging out with Drew though. He really is extra nice to me and always giving my kisses and always wanting to be right next to me. I can't wait until I get bigger so we can play together.
