Well I survived an entire season of T-Ball. We had about 15 games total and had only 1 injury. The injury was actually from my Kid Kart. My leg continuously hit a metal piece under my seat when I was "running" the bases. I ended up getting a big knot and bruise from this until mom and dad noticed it. But I was okay, I'm a tough player. I made some friends and enjoyed giving everybody high-five's. I can't wait until next season. (Click here for pictures from earlier in the season)
We even got a medal!
I'm so proud of myself, can't you tell? It's my first medal ever, so I have to hold it high for all to see!
I have found a new fascination. Are you wondering what it is? I bet you think it is something good. It is in my opinion and it can entertain me for hours. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Okay enough of the waiting, it is window blinds. I love banging and hitting on them. I don't know what it is about them. Mom even tries to trick me and put me in my stander and wheel me over to the door with the blinds, so I can keep my mind off of actually standing...and it works. I played with the blinds for almost an hour the other day, with not a single complaint.
I got to go to the zoo yesterday with my cousins, Luke and Drew (and of course mom and dad). We were a little worried about the weather not cooperating. Right before we arrived at the zoo, there were some dark thunder clouds that moved in, but we were going to tough it out. We got pretty lucky and it only rained on us for about 10 minutes the entire time we were there. The rain also helped cool things off. We got to see lions, tigers and bears oh my; also some monkeys, elephants, zebras, camels, snakes, sting rays, penguins and much much more. We also got to ride the carousel. It was a fun day but it wore me out. Drew and I both feel asleep IMMEDIATELY when we got in the car. I think mom said we were both out by the time we pulled out of the parking lot. A good day was had by all!
"Look, I don't want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you are alive you have got to flap your arms and legs, you've got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at the very least think noisy and colorfully, or you're not alive." ~Mel Brooks
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
We learn as much from sorrow as from joy, as much from illness as from health, from handicap as from advantage and indeed perhaps more. - Pearl S. Buck
There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money. Love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one's watching.
Love makes each day a joy, and each moment a memory.
"To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.'When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence . . . 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'
One day at a time is enough...don't look back and grieve the past, it's gone...don't be troubled about the future, it has not come yet...live in the present and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.
