I hope everyone is having a great Memorial Day weekend! I have been staying pretty busy. I got to spend the night at my grandma & grandpa's house on Friday. I had a great time and got extra spoiled. When mom and dad picked me up on Saturday, mom gave me a 4-wheeler ride. I actually enjoyed it this time. Unlike last time, when the noise of it bothered me. But not this time. We were extra busy today. Mom and dad started opening up the pool. It looked like a lot of work, so I decided to sit back and watch. I don't like to get my hands dirty, if you know what I mean. I was ready to jump in the pool but then I noticed it was a little green. It looks like we are going to have to do some extra cleaning and dumping in chemicals to clear it up. So I guess we will be outside tomorrow working on that again. I can't wait till we get it all done and the water warms up. I am sure I will be in it a lot this year.
Don't I look silly! I tend to wear a hat outside, because I am very sensitive to the sunlight. But it always ends up sideways and not over my eyes. Oh well.

Going to School

Well I had my big meeting today with the school. I actually didn't go, all it was going to be was boring stuff. Mom and dad went in my place, they talked about me and everything that was going to go on when I start school in August. I can't believe I am going to be going to school. It's just right around the corner. I found out that I am going to be in Ms Sarah's class. There is going to be about 10 other kids in my class - 5 of which are "typical" kids and 5 with special needs. I am going to be going 3 days a week to start out with, if I can handle more, mom might up me to 4 or 5 days. But we will see how it goes with 3 days first. It might just wear me out. I am also going to be getting therapy while I am there also. I am getting PT for an hour a week, OT for an hour, ST for 90 minutes and vision therapy for 30 minutes a week. When I am not in therapy, I will be in the classroom setting doing all sorts of fun stuff. Although I have heard, Ms Sarah likes to do a lot of arts & crafts projects, and I am not a big fan of that. Ms Terri, my developmental therapist right now makes me color and paint all the time. And I really hate it. I do it though to amuze her and mom. But I do NOT enjoy it. So I am a little worried about that. But Ms Sarah says that she'll make it fun. We'll see. I also heard that we go on field trips so that will be a lot of fun too. I will only be going in the mornings from 8:00 - 11:00. Mom will drop me off and dad will pick me up and take me to Ms Becky's until mom gets off of work. I can't wait to meet all the kids in my class. It's going to be so much fun. I think mom is even excited.

I have been doing so well in therapy lately. All of my therapists can tell I am getting much stronger. I am holding my head up for longer periods of time, I am getting closer to rolling over and I am being successful with my switch. I am also standing in my stander for 25 minutes instead of 20 minutes and liking it instead of tolerating it. They even upgraded me to a bigger seat in therapy because I am getting to small for my blue seat. I got to go fishing today in therapy. I have done it before but I wasn't for sure how to do it and wasn't to excited about it. But today, I figured it out and I enjoyed it. I got really excited when I caught a fish and my therapists and my mom were so excited that they cheered and clapped for me. I was so proud of myself!

A Little Better

I haven't been feeling the best this week, but today was much better. I have been throwing up every now and then and haven't had much of an appetite. But today I ate really good and haven't thrown up at all. Hopefully this will continue. I am still doing my breathing treatments twice a day. My cough isn't too bad but I want to stay on top of it and make sure its really gone. I especially wanted to feel good today since it was my dad's birthday. He won't tell me how old he is...but I bet he's really old. Mom and I didn't get him anything spectacular. I painted him a picture on his card and mom got him some lottery tickets. I sure hope we win!
